We undertake to handle the personal information made available to us by our Users, by you for example, with great care and with the sense of responsibility. Of course, this also refers to any co-operation with partners and third parties. However, we cannot accept any liability for the way third parties are handling your personal data.

For system-related reasons and for statistical purposes each access of our mobile app UrbanX and our websites is registered and stored. This concerns the following general data: Name of the site or file that was accessed, date and time of the access, volume of data transfer, notice of successful access, web browser, domain and IP addresses requesting access. To begin with, this data does not allow us any conclusion as to your person and serves only the improvement of our offer, the mobile app UrbanX and our websites.

The following gives you detailed information about where during your usage of our mobile app UrbanX and your visit to our websites we collect information from you, how we handle it and what options of influence you have.

Compilation of data from personal data
To provide the TUX services described in more detail in the General Business Terms it is necessary to process and use personal data that you as User provide within the scope of the registration process and use personal data given by the User.
Personal data refers to specific data about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or specifiable natural person.
TUX endeavours to achieve greatest possible accuracy of the stored personal data. For this purpose TUX Technologies has implemented administrative procedures and guidelines. TUX enables you a reasonable scope of access to the personal data that you made available to TUX as well as the possibility to verify and, if necessary, correct or demand anonymisation, blocking or deletion of this data.

Free Registration
During the free registration you are requested to provide certain mandatory information without which the registration cannot be completed. Part of this information also concerns personal data. This mandatory information ensure your clear identification so that we can provide to you our services in accordance with our General Business Terms:

• chosen user name
• email address
• date of birth
• gender
• at least one preferred type of sport
• In addition to this, your IP address is stored during the registration.

In some instances, you have the option to select yourself what information is shown to other Users. In the profile for example, you can choose if your location is shown to other Users. Your email address is never visible to other members.
In addition to this, during the installation of the app a clear device identification is transmitted for the purpose of verification and to exclude misuse.

Usage and Sharing of Compiled Data
By registering in the mobile app UrbanX you explicitly agree that TUX is authorized to use your provided data in accordance with your privacy settings for the purpose of the mobile app UrbanX, and that in this process the non-personal data is stored and used for the purpose of in-app marketing, respectively by TUX or our partners.
The compiled data, with the exception of the cases stated in this Data Protection Declaration, is not sold or shared with third parties, unless we are legally obliged to share it or you give us your explicit authorization. TUX takes all reasonably provided measures to ensure that unauthorized third parties cannot gain access to stored data.
Main purpose when compiling personal data is to enable you a secure, smooth, efficient and personal usage of the mobile app UrbanX.

The data is compiled in order to

1. provide the usage as well as the services in accordance with the General Business Terms,
2. prevent, uncover and to examine prohibited or illegal activities when using UrbanX, and to enforce the General Business Terms, respectively the Privacy Policy of TUX,
3. secure the technical functionality of the mobile app UrbanX and the products and services offered via the app, and
4. to contact you as far as it is necessary to provide the service of the mobile app UrbanX. Promotional emails and messages are only sent as far as this is legally permitted or explicit authorization was granted.

Registration with your Facebook Account (Facebook Connect)
If during your registration you decide to register via an existing Facebook account ( („Registration with Facebook“), you grant us the permission to extract from your Facebook account the data necessary for the registration. For this Facebook sends us the following data you stored with Facebook:

• first name
• surname
• email address
• profile picture
• place of residence
• gender

We would like to point out that we do not store the displayed profile picture.

Please note that when using the function „Registration with Facebook“ a direct connection with Facebook is established. Insofar we have no influence regarding the extent to which Facebook shares or simultaneously consolidates data with the help of this function.

Location Sharing
In the mobile app UrbanX you can have other Users or Meetups shown on the so-called „Radar“ and you can have the home locations of users in their profiles shown as well as make your own home location visible in your profile. In all cases it is necessary to collect location data. This data is only used to obtain suitable search results for you and other Users, to localise Meetups and to complete User Profiles.
If you open the app for the first time we ask for your permission to use the locations services of your device. However, you are able to deactivate the detection of your location in the settings of your mobile device anytime.

Furthermore, we offer the opportunity that you can choose under „Profile“ not to be shown on the Radar of other Users.

Further Optional Information

On a voluntary basis you can state some additional information such as your hometown and a description of yourself, or you can upload a photo of yourself. This information serves as basis for the settings of your UrbanX profile.
Also here you have the option to choose for yourself what information is shown to other users.

In our Stream we enable you to share your sport experiences with other Users of the mobile app UrbanX. This concerns texts, pictures, videos and locations personally selected by you that are shown to other Users who follow you.
You can at any time delete a post in the Stream.
Other Users who follow you or who exercise with you can mark you in their posts in the UrbanX Stream.

You can create your own Meetups and openly display them to all Users (Public Meetup) or to only invite certain other Users to join (Private Meetup). Public Meetups are visible to all Users in the Radar and the Search Function and each User can register to join. Participants of a Public Meetup are also visible to all other Users in the detail screen of this Meetup.

Third Party Contents
Within the mobile app UrbanX third party contents may possibly be integrated, e. g. such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google-Maps or graphics from other websites. This is always provided that the provider of these contents detects the IP address of the User. Because without the IP address they would not be able to send the contents to the browser / mobile device of the relevant User. The IP address is thus necessary for the illustration of such contents. There is also the possibility that third party contents are links to websites (e.g. the „Like Button“ of Facebook, fan page links on Facebook, Instagram, and many others), to help you quickly access further information or other relevant websites. By clicking on these links you are leaving the mobile app UrbanX. We have no control over these websites or their data protection practices that may possibly deviate from our practices. By linking to third party websites we do not express any approval or support of the contents provided there. Personal data that you make available to these third party providers, respectively those that are compiled by these, are not subject to our Data Protection Declaration. You should therefore read the Data Protection Declaration of all companies before disclosing personal information.

Children’s Data Protection
We do not knowingly consolidate data of children under the age of 14 years. We recommend that parents and legal guardians play an active role in the online activities and interests of their children.

Consent and Revocation Right

By registering with Urban X you consent to the consolidation, processing and usage of your personal data by TUX or by third party in the name and on behalf of TUX, that is on the basis of our Privacy Policy. Your consent is protocoled by TUX and you can at any time retrieve your consent.

As explained in the following you have the right to revoke, either completely or partially within the scope of the legal stipulations, the consent to use your aforementioned data. You also have the right to object to the usage of your anonymised respectively pseudonymised data.

Newsletter and Emails
To send our newsletters we are using the Mailchimp provider. With the newsletter we inform you about us and our offers. If you wish to receive the newsletter we need a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the stated email address, respectively that the owner of the stated email address consents with you receiving the newsletter. Further data is not requested. The data is only used to send the newsletter and is not shared with third parties. With the registration of the newsletter we record your IP address, your email address and the date of the registration. This record serves only the purpose of verification in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers to receive the newsletter without knowledge of the authorized. You can revoke at any time your consent to store the data, the email address as well as to its usage to send the newsletter. The revocation can be done via a link in the newsletter itself, in your profile area, or via message to our contact options.

Of course, as a User you have the right at any time to receive information about your data stored with us. This information is free of charge and is issued in writing. For reasons of security and traceability we ask that you direct your request for information to us in writing and personally sign it. Usage of Social Plugins and Widgets
The mobile app UrbanX and the websites of TUX integrate Plugins or Widgets for social media („Social Plugins und Widgets“). Your IP address and the page that you called up can be recorded via this function and a Cookie is possibly generated so that the intended function works properly. Social Plugins and Widgets are hosted either by third party providers or directly on our websites / app. Your interaction with these functions is subject to the Data Protection Regulations of the company providing the function. TUX is not responsible for the guidelines and practices regarding recording, usage and disclosure, including practices for data security, of other companies.
You can identify the relevant Social Plugins and Widgets for example on the according logo or on the characteristic features of the relevant service. Due to the usage of such Facebook Plugins, for example by operating the „Like Buttons“ or posting a Comment, you link the content of the mobile app UrbanX with your Facebook profile, if you’re simultaneously logged into your Facebook profile. This way Facebook can link your visit to the mobile app UrbanX with your Facebook account. TUX as the provider of the mobile app UrbanX knows neither the contents of the data thus transmitted to Facebook nor the type of usage by Facebook of such data. If you wish to avoid that Facebook links your activities in the mobile app UrbanX with your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook prior to using the mobile app UrbanX.
The aforementioned applies in the same way possibly also for other social media on the usage of which the mobile app UrbanX or the website of Tux have no influence. If you wish to avoid that also other social media that you use link your activities in the mobile app UrbanX with your Facebook account, you should not simultaneously use this social media – in any case you must log out of such social media prior to using the mobile app UrbanX. For further requirements to avoid unwanted data transmissions, please obtain information from the providers of the social media you are using.

Usage of Cookies
Several areas of websites by TUX and the mobile app UrbanX use „Cookies“, i.e. small text files that are stored on the computer and inside the browser. These are used by TUX in order to offer a user-friendly, effective and secure service. Cookies allow TUX also to identify the used browser and to provide you with certain offers. Cookies do not contain any information that can be individualised.
You now have the option to object to Cookies being set by selecting the relevant option in the settings of your browser. However, please note that disabling Cookies can reduce the scope of services, respectively can have a negative impact o the usage of services of the mobile app. UrbanX and the websites of TUX.

Web Analysis with Google Analytics
The mobile app UrbanX as well as all websites of TUX use Google Analytics, a net analysis service by Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses „Cookies“ (see above). The information concerning the visit of a website, including the IP address, is collected by the Google Cookie and typically transmitted to a Google Server in the USA and stored there. If a website has activated IP anonymisation, Google first abbreviates IP addresses from member states of the European Union and the EEA States. In such a case, only as an exception is the complete IP address transmitted to the Google Server in the USA and abbreviated there. Google uses the information collected in the name of the website provider in order to analyse the platform so as to provide with reports about website activities and additional services concerning the platform and the usage of the internet. Under no circumstances does Google link the IP address transmitted by the browser within the scope of Google Analytics with other Google data.

Web Analysis with HockeyApp
For the improving, troubleshooting and vulnerability analysis of the mobile app UrbanX TUX also uses the software analysis tool HockeyApp. HockeyApp is a beta test platform operated by Microsoft Corporation that helps analyse malfunctions within apps. You can view the Data Protection Declaration of HockeyApp under If the mobile app UrbanX crashes, you can send a crash report to HockeyApp. Contained within it is information about the date and time of the crash, the software module concerned, used operating system and language as well as device type and IP address. The crash report is sent to HockeyApp only after your separate consent. The information contained within the crash report can partially be processed in the USA. With the transfer consent you automatically consent also to the transmission of the aforesaid data to the USA. If you send us a message via the Feedback function, it is also transmitted and processed by HockeyApp.
